THE CAR

On ANTI Festival, in Kuopio, Finland, me and three little apprentices deconstructed a car. My idea was to separate all the parts, so the girls could see how the car is constructed, to learn how to use the tools and to work intensively with their bodies. What turned out quite surprising for me was the enthusiasm that girls showed while working. They understood the tools, a way to use them, and the force they had to apply on the material quite quickly and started working like crazy, went to the tool box by them selves and searched for adequate tools.. It was amazing.
A curly ten year old asking me to give her the "smart key", a reversible ratchet...  priceless.
